Hike Black Butte, Mt. Shasta

Black Butte Summit, Mt. Shasta!

This has been on our “summer bucket list”…we finally made it up there!

Hiking to the top of what looks like a big mound of rocks, offers a perfect view of the one and only, Mt. Shasta! 

It’s almost 4 miles roundtrip, rigorous, and steep. It took us about 3 hours with a little “hangout” time on the top for pictures. Wear good shoes/boots because the trail requires some rock hoping towards the top. A hat is another good idea as the sun becomes potent up past the tree line. Enjoy and stay safe!
